Postal, courier and parcel services for Redwood will be available from a new PostCentre at the Redwood Mini Market from Monday, 5 October 2009.

New Zealand Post Group Retail Manager, Michelle van Gaalen said the new PostCentre, at 284 Main North Road, reflects New Zealand Post’s commitment to maintain postal services in the area.

“Paresh Jeram at the Redwood Mini Market is now going to provide postal services to the community as part of his business.   He is committed to high quality customer service and I’m sure the Redwood community generally will support him.

“We are conscious that the change from a PostShop service has disappointed members of the Redwood community. However we are confident the PostCentre will complement nearby PostShops in the area well and will provide a viable option for the Redwood Dairy both now and in the future.  It is about operating a sustainable network that meets the needs of the majority of our customers.

“In addition, we are still looking to open a new PostShop Kiwibank in the growing Northwood area in 2010,” said Ms van Gaalen.
