Lodgement

Step 2

Lodgement is the stage when you, or your mailhouse, hand your Bulk Mail over to us to send. Please note that certain lodgement standards and product requirements are vital to the smooth running of the Bulk Mail process. As they're so important, any non-conformance detected at our checking stage means you should expect cost implications for your mailing.

Find out how to lodge correctly every time.

Your lodgement checklist

Here's a step-by-step checklist to ensure you lodge correctly every time and don’t incur any extra costs or unnecessary delays:

  • The existing Statement of Posting form has been changed and the new form must be used from 1 July 2008. To find out more, download Your Statement of Posting Explained (.pdf – 152 kb).
  • The new form needs to be filled out correctly and presented with your lodgement, or mail will be held up until one is provided.
  • For Bulk Mail products, you need to declare your Statement of Accuracy ID Number and % rating. You will note that there are two new fields on the form just for this purpose.
  • A new field has also been added to the Statement of Posting and to Lodgement Manager for your Customer Agreement Code. If you don't have a Customer Agreement Code, leave this field blank.
  • All mail must have an approved PermitPost indicia, be correctly labelled, trayed and faced and in the correct postcode order, as per lodgement standards.
  • Please ensure that you have met the minimum volume requirement for the Product Code you have selected.

Points to remember:

  • Please check that you are also following all product rules for the Product Code you have selected.
  • If you lodge without a Statement of Accuracy - even if your data is accurate - your mail will not be processed at the Bulk Mail rate. A Statement of Accuracy, even one that's less than 85%, is well worth having and once you do have it, it is valid for a year.
  • For more information, check the Bulk Mail rates and Non-Conformance pricing.
