| To apply for a New Zealand Post business account: |
Step 1: Complete an Application for credit |
All customers must complete this form.

Step 2: Complete a Direct Debit Authority |
Paying your New Zealand Post account by direct debit is a great way to save time and ensure you never miss a payment. And now, you can make it suit your cashflow by choosing a payment date that suits, between the 20th and the 27th of every month.
Please note:
- If you have been trading for less than twelve months we will require you to pay your account by direct debit; or
- If there are any problems with your credit check we may require you to pay your account by direct debit.
We will inform you of the payment criteria when processing your application.

Step 3: Non-profit organistions only |
All non-profit organisations must provide an IRD Certificate as proof of registration. |

Qualifying for a business account with New Zealand Post
If you have been trading for less than twelve months we will require a direct debit to be set up. All non-profit organisations will also need to provide an IRD Certificate as proof of registration. We are required to carry out credit checks during the application process as well. All required details are on the application form or you can contact one of our Accounts Receivable Team on 0800 921 821 with respect to the credit application. New Zealand Post has the overall right to decline any application.
Processing your application
It's quick and easy!
Once New Zealand Post has received your completed and correct application we will endeavour to process it within 3 working days. Please note that if further information is required more time may be taken to confirm the application. Once your application is processed, we will send you notification - and, if your application has been successful, you'll be up and running as a New Zealand Post Business Account customer!
Payment options
New Zealand Post credit accounts can be paid by Direct Credit, Cheque, Direct Debit, or at your local New Zealand Post PostShop. However, if there are any problems with your credit check we may require you to pay your account by direct debit only. We will inform you of the payment criteria when processing your application.
