When you can't find the address you want

Spelling

The Address and Postcode Finder allows for minor spelling mistakes, but there are limitations to this capability. Check that you've used the correct spelling of street, suburb, town and city names.

Alternate names

The Address and Postcode Finder recognises some common alternative names, such as adjacent suburbs and local names for streets, and will find and display the postal address using standardised names. There are limitations to this capability, so check that you have used the correct or standardised name.

Be less specific

The Address and Postcode Finder tries to find an address that matches all the criteria you enter. The fewer criteria you enter, the greater the number of possible results you are likely to get. This may help you choose the result you want.

Counter Delivery and Community Mail Box Postcodes

Counter Delivery Postcodes

Counter Delivery is a short term delivery option available at all PostShops and some PostCentres. Mail addressed to Counter Delivery Locations

Community Mail Box Postcodes

Community Mail Boxes are a delivery option provided in some rural areas. Mail addressed to any of our Community Mail Box locations (.xls 21kb) should follow the address format below:

Poste Restante Postcodes

Certain PostShops are designated as Poste Restante locations. Mail addressed Poste Restante should follow the address format below:

PO Box and Private Bag Number Ranges

A listing of the number ranges allocated to each box lobby for PO Boxes and Private Bags can be found here (.xls 260kb). This listing also includes the postcode and town or city name to be used in the box or bag address. This list will be updated when number ranges are changed or when new box lobbies are installed.
