Sending oversized items internationally

If the item you would like to send exceeds the specifications in the following table, it will be classed as an oversized item and cannot be sent using our standard international or international courier services.

Sending options for oversized international items

  1. Try repackaging your item into separate packages that do not exceed the above specifications. This will allow you to send them via our standard international services – this is the more cost effective option.

    Items exceeding the weight or dimension limits of standard international and international courier services will need to be sent via our express freight service. For example, a single 40kg oversized item sent to Melbourne, Australia via this service would cost approximately $433.83*. However if the item was sent as two 20kg items via International Express Courier it would cost approximately $371.12 (2 x $185.56)*.
  2. If your item exceeds the accepted weight limit for International Air or International Economy, check out our international courier services which have a 30kg weight limit to many destinations.
  3. If your item/s weigh/s over 30kg and cannot be repacked into separate items send it as an oversized item using New Zealand Post’s international express freight service. Some indicative pricing is detailed below*.
