International sending changes

Or were you after:

On 1 October 2011 some of our international sending services are changing.

New Zealand Post is making some changes to our international sending services – including the way postage rates are calculated. These will come into effect on 1 October 2011.

The changes are necessary for us to continue to be commercially sustainable and offer a variety of international sending services to our customers.

Key changes

  • An increase in the number of International Economy Courier destinations.
  • Extending the maximum size (length + girth) to 3m with a new maximum allowable length of 1.5m for the International Economy Courier service.
  • Removal of the International Economy letters service.
  • An increase in the minimum sending weight to 200 grams for parcels sent by International Air and International Economy services. This new minimum does not apply to International Air Satchels.

Digital Postage Meters & Automatic Stamping Machines

  • Required postage through Digital Postage Meters (DPM) will be franked GST zero-rated. This does not apply to Automatic Stamping Machines (ASM) where you will need to frank GST inclusive.

If you use an ASM please ensure you apply the correct required postage from 1 October 2011. If you use a DPM please visit www.pitneybowes.co.nz for instructions on how to update your postage rates.
