Most people are unaware that heart disease is the single biggest cause of death of women in New Zealand and that far too often these deaths are premature and preventable.

Go Red for Women is the Heart Foundation’s rallying call to all New Zealand women to take control of their heart health and support this life saving campaign. This year the team has escalated the alert to 'Code Red' and really needs your support.

New Zealand Post is pleased to be the principal sponsor of the Go Red for Women programme and, like the Heart Foundation, is determined to help raise awareness of the prevalence of heart disease, promote the importance of heart health and encourage everyone to support the campaign. Proceeds from the programme will help establish a dedicated fund for women’s heart health research.
