Brian Roche, BCA, FCA
Chief Executive, New Zealand Post Group
Prior to taking up his current position in January 2010 Brian was a senior partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Brian has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (Victoria University) and is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA).
Paul Brock, BBS
Chief Executive Officer, Kiwibank Limited.
Paul Brock has an extensive background in New Zealand's banking industry, including managerial roles with Westpac and Trust Bank.
He was part of the team that created Kiwibank in 2002 and has held a number of key positions within the bank, including General Manager Marketing and General Manager Savings and Transactions.
Bryan Jamison
Chief Operating Officer, Express Couriers Limited (ECL)
Bryan started with Express Couriers Limited in February 2013 and brings a wealth of experience in the Logistics industry. He has been involved with DHL Globally for over 25 years in a number of senior Executive positions in Europe, the United States, Asia and the Middle East, holding both Country and Regional leadership roles.
As Executive Vice President for DHL Worldwide Express Europe, Bryan successfully led the business through the Global Financial Crisis and at the same time transformed the performance of the business across all measures, expanded the network throughout Europe and created the sustainable business model it is today.
Paul Reid
Chief Operating Officer, Channels
Paul Reid joined the company in March 2011 initially as Group General Manager, Innovation and Technology. He is now the Chief Operating Officer of Channels.
He joined New Zealand Post Group from MetService Limited, where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer for four years.
Before joining MetService in 2007, Paul held a variety of senior commercial and operational positions with Air New Zealand, Carter Holt Harvey and Ernst & Young.
Malcolm Shaw, LLB (Hons)
Group Manager, Assurance
Malcolm Shaw joined the New Zealand Post Group in 2000, and in his role as Group Manager, Assurance, is also General Counsel and Company Secretary.
He has an extensive legal background, as Legal Counsel for Contact Energy, Assistant General Counsel for the New Zealand Dairy Board and as a lawyer for a number of firms both here and overseas.
Malcolm is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and is a member of the Institute of Directors.
Ashley Smout
Chief Operating Officer, Mail and Communications
Ashley Smout was appointed to the new position of Group General Manager, Operations in November 2010 and is now the Chief Operating Officer of Mail and Communications.
Ashley joins the New Zealand Post Group from Airways Corporation of New Zealand, where he was Chief Executive Officer for the past eight years. Before joining Airways Corporation in 1999, Ashley spent 10 years in general management roles with Schneider Electric, including positions in Australia and Singapore. He earlier held marketing and senior operational management roles in New Zealand's industrial manufacturing sector.
Mark Yeoman, BCA, CA
Chief Financial Officer and IT
Mark Yeoman joined the New Zealand Post Group in 2009. He was previously CFO at Airways and before that CEO of Samoa's telecom and postal company where he managed its transformation from a government department to a State-Owned Enterprise.
Before that, Mark held a number of executive roles in a wide-range of technology based industries in Australia and New Zealand after beginning his career with Deloitte.
Mark is a Chartered Accountant and is also a member of the Institute of Directors.
Jo Avenell
Group Manager People and Capability
Jo Avenell joined the company in December 2012 and brought with her a wealth of experience designing corporate strategies, leading cultural change and transformation programmes, developing aligned HR strategies, and delivering enhanced employee engagement, productivity and performance.
Jo was most recently General Manager, Human Resources at Westpac and has held executive and senior HR roles at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in New Zealand, and at Ernst and Young and Credit Suisse both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
