PermitPost

Or were you after:

PermitPost is mandatory for sending Bulk Mail. It allows you to make a deferred payment and saves you from having to attach stamps or frank mail when sending 300 or more mail items within New Zealand

Saves you time if you regularly send lots of mail

Save time and improve efficiency by making light work of lots of mail. If you send 300 items or more of mail or postage to the value of $135 (incl. GST) or more at a time, using PermitPost will save your organisation time and improve your mail handling efficiency.

Please note PermitPost can not be used to send ParcelPost Tracked items as a barcode is required for tracking and ParcelPost PO Box Priority items, as this service is only available using ParcelPost PO Box Priority Postage Included Envelopes.

Key benefits

  • Deferred payment: For New Zealand Post Account customers
  • Helps you access Bulk Mail: A PermitPost number is mandatory if you want to use any of the Bulk Mail products.
  • Saves time and increases efficiency:  By using PermitPost you pre-print your PermitPost impression on your mail items. This eliminates the need to lick hundreds of stamps or spend time at a franking machine.
  • Hassle-free:  It's easy to set up, implement and manage. Your PermitPost number can be used for both envelopes and parcels within New Zealand and overseas.

Note: a $10 processing fee will be charged for any PermitPost lodgement that does not meet the minimum lodgement criteria of 300 items or postage to the value of $135 (incl. GST).

Step by step guide

To use PermitPost you simply pre-print a PermitPost impression on each mail item in the place of a stamp or ASM franking. The PermitPost impression indicates that you are using PermitPost as a method of payment.

You can use either a Standard PermitPost impression (PDF – 23kb) or make your own customised impression (which could contain your organisation's logo and name) as outlined below. Customised impressions are only allowed for use with GoFlexible and PrintPost services. Customised impressions are only allowed for use with GoFlexible and PrintPost services.

How to use PermitPost

Contact our Customer Service Centre on 0800 501 501 or email ar19n.orders@nzpost.co.nz to have us send you a form.
