ParcelPost Tracked
Secure and economic delivery of parcels up to 25kg from your local PostShop store to the door of a street, rural, PO Box or Private Bag address in New Zealand.
ParcelPost Tracked has a one to three working day delivery target between major towns and cities and you can choose from a range of prepaid tickets and plastic bags to suit a range of parcel sizes.
- Up to 3kg and subject to maximum dimensions use ParcelPost Tracked Postage Included Bags or ParcelPost Tracked prepaid nationwide tickets.
- Up to 5kg and subject to maximum dimensions use ParcelPost Tracked prepaid nationwide tickets.
- Up to 25kg in weight, 1.5m in length and 0.125m³ in volume use ParcelPost Tracked prepaid zonal tickets
The required postage to send by ParcelPost Tracked is based on the size and weight of your parcel, and is also based on the destination when using prepaid zonal tickets.

Prepaid zonal tickets
Items are priced by actual or volumetric weight - whichever is greater.
To calculate the volumetric weight (kg), measure the parcel’s height (m) x length (m) x thickness (m) and multiply this by 200, e.g. (0.5m x 0.4m x 0.3m) x 200 = 12kg.

Sending by ParcelPost Tracked
To send your parcel by ParcelPost Tracked you need one of the following:
- a ParcelPost Tracked Postage Included Bag
- a ParcelPost Tracked prepaid nationwide ticket
- a ParcelPost Tracked prepaid zonal ticket
- a ParcelPost Tracked label from your local PostShop
- if you're sending to a Rural Delivery (RD) address, an additional charge of $2.80 per ticket applies to ParcelPost Tracked items.

Delivery targets
Delivery targets are a guide only and we do not guarantee your item will reach its destination within the delivery target. Delivery to and from rural or remote areas may take longer.
Required postage
The required postage is the value of postage required for New Zealand Post to carry the item. Actual price paid may vary instore. The required postage and specifications are subject to change.
