Whether you’re off overseas or you’ve just arrived home, you can buy or sell a range of currencies at your local PostShop.

Buy foreign currency on the spot

Buy on the spot at selected local PostShop stores that offer fast foreign exchange. These currencies are:

Australian dollars
British pounds
Euros
US dollars.

Order foreign currency for collection later

You can order a minimum of NZ$30 equivalent in 29 currencies at your local PostShop.

Order your foreign currency before 3pm and we’ll have it ready for you to collect the next working day. If you order after 3pm we’ll have it ready in two working days.We charge 1% commission (NZ$7.5 minimum) when you buy foreign currency.

Selling foreign currency

When you arrive home from overseas you can convert your foreign cash or travellers cheques backto NZ$ at no commission at your local PostShop.
