From 1 June 2022, the price of the following products and services will be increasing:

- Courier International
- Express International
- Sending large parcels in NZ
From 1 July 2022, the price of the following mail and PO Box products and services will be increasing:

At NZ Post, we continue to be committed to providing you with a sustainable, market-leading delivery service now and for the future in response to these changes.
To maintain our commitment, we need to continuously review our infrastructure and processes.
As we upscale our business to reflect the changing market, we are also subject to a variety of changing cost components, including increased labour costs, investment in new technology and our continued focus on health and safety.
While we’re always looking to reduce costs wherever possible, we have a responsibility to deliver a sustainable mail and parcel delivery service for New Zealand and we do need to review our prices annually.

Sending a letter within NZ
From 1 July 2022, the following price increase will apply to sending letters within NZ.
Standard Mail
The cost to send a Standard Mail letter across New Zealand will increase by 20 cents (incl. GST)*. This means that the medium sized letter will increase to $1.70 (incl. GST) and the large and oversize letters will also increase by 20 cents to $3.00 and $4.30 respectively.

- A five-day sort means your mail is sorted and delivered to your PO Box each weekday.
- A six-day sort includes Saturdays (excluding public holidays).
Both the five-day and six-day sort are location dependent.

Sending large parcels in NZ
From 1 June 2022, only courier services will be available when sending large parcels within NZ.
A new Courier Economy service, available when sending nationwide only, has a target delivery of within 3 days, and parcel compensation of up to $2,000.* We’re reducing the price our Courier service for large parcels.

** The additional 5kg price (up to 25kg) is the same as the price for the first 5kg.
A Rural Delivery Surcharge is applicable to all parcels sent within NZ addressed to a rural address.
# Saturday Delivery not available on rural addresses.
A large parcel is a parcel that:
- Weighs over 3kg or
- Measures over 70mm in thickness or
- Measures over 395mm x 455mm or less (LF) dimension.
Note: only one of these criteria needs to occur to determine that a parcel must be sent as a large parcel.
