Art Of The Envelope Awards first monthly winners revealed

7 October 2010

The first monthly winners of the 2010 Art of the Envelope Awards have been crowned.

Congratulations to Antony Wilson, Iain MacMillan and Kate Murchison from DraftFCB for their excellent entry “Nothing to hide”.

The second round of monthly finalists for the 2010 Art of the Envelope have also been announced - Sue Archibald from Promote Ltd, Jason Hall from RAPP and Alex Hamilton from Saatchi & Saatchi are going up for public vote this month thanks to their entries which the judges think showed exceptional ‘out of the box’ creative thinking.

The entries are now available online for viewing on the ‘Vote’ tab so don’t forget to vote for your favourite. The simple act of voting could win you an Apple TV, a $500 bar tab or $500 towards your iTunes account. Congratulations to Erin Gallacher from RAPP, who was the online voter winner for last month showing that you have to be in to win!

And if you’re the creative type, entries are now being taken for the next month’s online competition (and it’s free to enter), so get them in before 5pm on Tuesday 19 October 2010. That little idea could win you a $1,000 shopping voucher or the new iPhone 4!

Of course, it’s all leading up to the big event – the Art Of The Envelope Awards themselves on 17 November, brought to you by Candida, Kinetic 121 and New Zealand Post Targeted Communications.

This year’s overall winner gets to choose from a prize pool worth $5,000, with category winners rewarded with the latest Apple gear, vouchers and much more.

Categories include the Mailed Masterpiece (previously created work that has been direct mailed, including envelopes and larger packages), The 50 Cent Classic (a redesign of the regular-sized envelope that can be mailed economically, to showcase creativity on a budget) and Redefine and Redesign (an unrestrained opportunity to produce an artistic or futuristic masterpiece).

The final deadline for entries is 5pm, on Friday, 29 October 2010. See the pushtheenvelope website for more details.
