Christchurch mail deliveries expected to resume on Thursday

27 July 2011

New Zealand Post expects normal mail services to resume in Christchurch tomorrow (Thursday) after three days of disruption caused by ice and snow.

No deliveries were possible in the Garden City on Monday or Tuesday this week, while only limited deliveries were able to be carried out today (Wednesday).

However improved weather means services in Christchurch should be back to normal for Thursday.

The only possible exception is for any properties where residual ice or snow present a potential hazard - however this is expected to create minimal, if any, disruption.
