It’s time to send Santa your Christmas wish list

17 October 2014

Santa Claus has cleared his desk of candy canes and is ready to respond to New Zealand kids’ Christmas letters.

Every year Santa and Mrs Claus invite children up and down the country to write to them with their Christmas wish list.

Santa’s elves have polished his sleigh and made room for presents of all shapes and sizes so make sure you write in and tell Santa what you want in your stocking this Christmas.

“Preparing for Christmas is so much fun. My workshop was overflowing with towers of toppling letters last year and I can’t wait to see what New Zealand kids want this year.

“New Zealand Post is busy too delivering all these letters to me here at the North Pole. I’ll need help opening them all so Mrs Claus has made extra cocoa and cookies to keep me and my elves going,” Santa says.

The reindeer and all of Santa’s team at the North Pole are ready and waiting to help Santa respond to your letters. To write to Santa attach a stamp and address your letter to him at:

Santa Claus
Santa’s Workshop
North Pole 0001

To get a reply from Santa before Christmas be sure to post your letter by Monday 8 December.

And remember to check your letter twice! Don’t forget to include your full name, address and postcode so Santa’s team know exactly where to find you.

If you don’t want to write to Santa, New Zealand Post has set up a page where you can send him an online message instead and still receive a response.

Just visit www.nzpost.co.nz/santaletter to submit your wish list before Sunday 30 November.
Santa is assisted by the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind again this year to provide special large print and Braille letters for children who are blind or have low vision. Visit www.nzpost.co.nz/santaletter for details.
