New appointment in New Zealand Post Management

21 December 2010

New Zealand Post Group CEO Brian Roche has announced the first of two appointments in a new management structure designed to make the organisation more customer-focussed, agile and efficient.

Mr Roche announced Gary Woodham has been appointed Group General Manager of Customer Solutions & Services division. Mr Woodham is currently Chief Executive of New Zealand Post’s data management company Datam.

Customer Solutions & Services will encompass aspects of New Zealand Post’s existing retail, postal and Datam businesses. An Operations division covering New Zealand Post’s delivery networks has also been established.  The General Manager’s role for that division is expected to be named this month.

“These management changes are about making New Zealand Post Group simpler to deal with, more customer-centred and better able to grab market opportunities.

“Gary Woodham heads a division tasked with making sure New Zealand Post Group is delivering the products and services that people want.

“Gary has a proven track record in delivering customer solutions in his previous role as head of Datam (formerly Datamail).

“The new divisions are the result of detailed strategic work done across the New Zealand Post Group designed to improve coordination across the business,” said Mr Roche.

Mr Roche said the new structure was part of ongoing work to help position New Zealand Post to keep abreast of and anticipate the rapidly changing nature of the way people communicate with each other.
