New Zealand Post wins international printing award
New Zealand Post has scooped an award for its innovative approach to printing for Fly Buys at the HP Indigo Digital Print Awards held in Germany this month.
It took out the Asia-Pacific Direct Mail and Transpromo category for the third year running, beating 30 other entries to win.
New Zealand Post produces individualised mail outs for Fly Buys’ 2.4 million members each quarter. The mail outs provide high-quality tailored information on their points balance and a catalogue of rewards they can redeem their accumulated points for.
The large scale, high-quality printing and complexity involved in tailoring each mail out contributed to it taking the top spot.
The awards ceremony took place in Bonn, Germany to coincide with the Dscoop Worldwide Conference and drupa 2012, a trade show focussed on trends and innovations in the printing industry which is held every four years and attracts over 300,000 delegates from around the world.

Fly Buys is managed by Loyalty New Zealand. It is New Zealand’s largest coalition loyalty programme with more than 1.3 million active households (representing 71% of all NZ households) and 2.4 million card holders. On average, each day, the Fly Buys card is swiped more than 300,000 times and 2,000 rewards are sent to Members.
