Whether you’re sending or receiving parcels, here are a few tips on how you can help us continue to deliver for New Zealand.

We’ve recently made some changes to our parcel delivery process to help limit physical contact and this may involve our Couriers taking a photo as proof of delivery. We’re doing our best to keep our customers, our people and our communities safe during the COVID-19 pandemic and we appreciate your understanding during these unprecedented times. Whether you’re sending or receiving parcels, here are a few tips on how you can help us continue to deliver for New Zealand and get your parcels where they need to be first time.

  1. Choose our non-signature options

When sending parcels, choose our non-signature options where possible. Your courier will scan your parcel so there's still an accurate proof of delivery and provided there's a safe place to leave it, you'll help us deliver your parcel first time. This means the receiver won't need to pick up your parcel from a local depot, helping limit physical contact and the chance of further spread of COVID-19. When you're buying things online, if you have the option, we also recommend selecting the non-signature required option.

  1. Set up Parcel Leave (Authority to Leave)

If you won't be home to accept your delivery, Parcel Leave gives us permission to leave your parcel in a safe and secure place of your choice. This means your courier won't need to leave a card advising you to pick up your parcel from your local depot. Parcel Leave also limits close contact between you and our people.   1. When you're waiting for a parcel to be delivered, turn on delivery updates

When you have a parcel on the way, and a tracking number, turn on delivery updates. Delivery updates are FREE and keep you up to date with your delivery, so you can plan ahead. If things have changed, our online tracking tool will help you let us know by adding delivery instructions, requesting for your parcel to be left, or in some cases redirected to another address.   1. Make sure your parcels are addressed clearly and accurately

Now more than ever, it's important to make sure your parcels are sent with valid, easy to read address and contact details. This means our teams can send your parcel to where it needs to be - faster!
