At Pace we are committed to meeting target delivery times for your parcels.
With dynamic traffic flows in our cities, and increased congestion on city roads, some adjustments are required to the target delivery times that we set for our Pace - Across Town* services.
The new times will mean a change for jobs going 2 or more zones. Most of the time it will mean an additional 10-30 minutes is added to the target delivery timeframes.
To help you more reliably gauge the timeframe a delivery will take from time of order to time of delivery, the new target delivery timeframes for our Across Town Express services will be:
|North Island centres: Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, Palmerston North, Wellington||South Island centres: Nelson, Christchurch, Queenstown, Dunedin|
|Number of zones||Express 30+||Express 60+||Express 30+||Express 60+|
|1||30 mins||60 mins||30 mins||60 mins|
|2||40 mins||75 mins||30 mins||60 mins|
|3||50 mins||90 mins||40 mins||75 mins|
|4||65 mins||105 mins||50 mins||90 mins|
|5||65 mins||105 mins||50 mins||90 mins|
|6+||65 mins||105 mins||65 mins||105 mins|
These changes will come into effect from 20 March 2020.
Short drive jobs (1 zone) are not affected by the new target delivery timeframes.
Cities affected by new Across Town delivery times: Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Queenstown and Dunedin.
Questions & Answers
When are the changes taking effect?
Changes to Pace delivery times will come into effect from 20 March 2020.
How do I work out what zones my deliveries are going to?
Zone charts detailing the number of zones between pick-up and delivery suburbs are available on the Zone Charts and Tools page here at pace.co.nz. Otherwise for help with working out zones call 0800 501 502.
What about pricing, will this be changing too?
No, these changes will not have any impact on pricing of Pace services. I’m concerned the longer delivery times are going to impact the commitments I’ve made to my customers.
Can you help me with this?
With increasing congestion on city roads, we’ve made these changes to help you to more reliably gauge the timeframe a delivery will take from time of order to time of delivery, and help you set better expectations across your business and with your customers.
