Courier parcels and mail
Last updated: 12:45pm, 22 January.
Severe weather and road closures are causing delays across the North Island.
There were multiple weather‑related disruptions overnight, particularly in Eastern Waikato and the Bay of Plenty, with several road closures.
Coromandel: Limited activity today due to blocked routes.
Gisborne: Inbound routes from Auckland and Hamilton were closed overnight. Delayed freight is staged in Hamilton and will move to Gisborne today. Rural deliveries north of Gisborne are limited today due to road closures.
There were also delays into Auckland and Napier due to temporary closures on SH1 overnight.
Operations have begun in main centres and most rural areas, but localised disruption is expected. Please expect delays of 1–2 working days.
