Payment options

As an account customer, you can pay your New Zealand Post costs by direct credit, direct debit or cheque to be paid at your local PostShop.

We’ll let you know the payment criteria when you apply - all required details are on the application form.

New Zealand Post has the right to decline any application.

How to open an account

To open an account with New Zealand Post you first need to apply:

  • Complete an application for credit and direct debit authority form (PDF – 788kb)
  • For non-profit organisations, provide an IRD certificate for proof of registration
  • Submit your application by posting all of the above to:

We can usually process your application within three to five working days.

TPID or New Zealand Post Customer Number

This is the account number that you would have been given by New Zealand Post when you became a business account holder. If you cannot find your TPID number then please contact your account manager.
