Angel Delivery began with a simple idea: helping people show kindness when someone needs it most. The business creates thoughtfully curated care packages that are sent to people going through difficult moments. That might be illness, grief, a new baby, or simply a time when someone needs a lift.
Many of their packages include comforting food such as soups and pies, alongside flowers or other thoughtful items.
It’s an emotionally charged business. Customers aren’t just sending a gift, they’re sending support, encouragement and love.
“Our whole business is about helping people connect with someone who’s going through something,” Grace explains.
“You’re sending comfort, not just a parcel.”
Angel Delivery has grown steadily since launching, expanding from a largely local service into a nationwide business delivering care packages across New Zealand. That growth has meant reaching customers and recipients in cities, small towns and remote communities alike.
Delivering reliably, with care and at speed
Delivery sits right at the heart of the Angel Delivery experience. Unlike most online shopping transactions, the receiver and consumer of the product isn’t the customer.
The customer places a significant amount of trust and reputational importance on the delivery experience, because many of their products include fresh food or flowers.
Some items are perishable, others are fragile. Getting them to the recipient quickly and in great condition is critical to the experience.

“Timeliness is incredibly important for us,” Grace says. “It’s about delivering that moment of care when people need it.”
When delivery works well, the impact is powerful. Customers know their gift will arrive when promised and recipients experience the full effect of that thoughtful gesture. But late or damaged parcels risk undermining the emotional intent behind the gift. That’s why reliability is so important.
Enabling growth
Angel Delivery has partnered with NZ Post to help deliver that experience consistently across the country for over a decade. The relationship has enabled the business to scale from a local operation to a national service. “NZ Post is one of our most important partners,” Grace says. “Enabling us to deliver our products to virtually every address in New Zealand, no matter how remote it is,”
One of the services that has made a big difference is Express Tonight, which allows many deliveries to arrive the very same evening, sometimes within just a couple of hours. This gives customers the ability to respond quickly when someone needs support.
Reliability has also been key. “What we love is that they deliver when they say they will. We can rely on them to deliver on time and with the highest level of care.”
Having a dedicated Business Manager has helped Angel Delivery navigate growth and explore new opportunities. “Our relationship with our Business Manager is excellent. If we need to talk through an idea or solve a challenge, he’s on to it or puts us in touch with the right person straight away.”
Together, all these aspects of NZ Post’s service have helped Angel Delivery expand its reach and deliver more care packages to more people across the country.
