NZ Post returns to Church Street with new Palmerston North Hub
NZ Post has opened a new hub in central Palmerston North, giving customers a fresh, modern retail space to send and collect parcels, pay bills and access all key NZ Post services under one roof.
After almost a decade, NZ Post has returned to Church Street with a modern hub in the heart of the city, just steps from The Square, continuing its long-standing connection to central Palmerston North.
The NZ Post Palmerston North Hub has been designed around the way customers use NZ Post today, with an easy-to-navigate layout and digital tools to help customers get things done quickly.
The new location provides more capacity to support customer needs and deliver a better experience. From 23 September, services from NZ Post Terrace End have moved to the new Palmerston North Hub.
The Terrace End store closed on 22 September, with the same team continuing to support customers from the new hub. NZ Post GM Customer Sarah Sandoval says parcel services are playing a bigger role in people's everyday lives.
"We've shaped this space around those needs, making it easier for people to access the services they rely on in one place.
"We're also pleased to be opening our first hub in regional New Zealand in Palmerston North, reflecting the important role the city plays in communities across the lower North Island." Palmerston North Mayor Grant Smith attended the opening and officially welcomed the new hub.
The Palmerston North Hub is the latest addition to NZ Post's hubs, following openings in Newmarket and Hardinge Street in Auckland, and Papanui in Christchurch, with more planned across New Zealand.
