From 1 September 2022, the price of the following products and services for sending small parcels within New Zealand will be increasing:
- NZ Post Prepaid Bag range
- Sending using your own packaging (Small parcel economy service tickets)
- Rural delivery surcharge
Sending Small Parcels using NZ Post Prepaid Bags
From 1 September 2022 the following price increase will apply when sending parcels under 3kg within New Zealand.

Sending using your own packaging or NZ Post Packaging Only range

From 1 September 2022 the following price increase will apply when sending parcels under 3kg within New Zealand using your own packaging or using NZ Post packaging only range.

*Tubes can be sent using the above rates provided they meet the criteria for maximum dimensions and weight. Tubes larger than Lineflow size, but 650mm or less in length and 70mm or less in diameter, can be sent using the Lineflow size
Note: Stamps can only be used as a method of payment for sending parcels in your own packaging using the Economy service. Stamps cannot be used as a method of payment for Prepaid bags, Courier or any other services.
Rural delivery surcharge
A Rural Delivery Surcharge is applicable to all parcels sent within New Zealand that are addressed to a rural address, whether the parcel is being sent by Economy or Courier.
From 1 September 2022 the Rural Delivery Surcharge will be increasing.
