Receiving your parcels
Quick links to the information on this page:
We’ll let you know when your parcel is at our warehouse. You can then select your preferred service and the address you would like it sent to, and make payment for shipping to NZ.
Think your parcel should already be with us? Don’t worry – it can take up to 4 working days for us to process your parcel and notify you of its arrival. If you still haven’t received notification, your parcel may have been sent with an incomplete address - check if we have received it at the link below.
Want to check if your parcel has arrived?
Parcel value and description
If your parcel arrives at our warehouse without a merchant's invoice, we’ll ask you to provide us with the parcel's value. You will be prompted to do this when you sign in to pay for your parcel.
The parcel’s value must include the item’s purchase price and the cost of the postage you paid to get the parcel to your YouShop USA or Europe address.
You can also update the description of the contents of your parcel if you believe the warehouse has incorrectly entered it. This is the description that will be supplied to Customs when your parcel arrives in New Zealand.
Once you’ve paid for shipping your parcel to NZ, the warehouse team will process it for dispatch.
Parcels are dispatched at the end of the day on:
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for YouShop USA parcels
Wednesday and Saturday for YouShop Europe parcels
Parcels are dispatched via Sea Freight once a month.
21-day warehousing limit
We will hold your parcel for 21 days from the date of our first email telling you your parcel has arrived. If you have not paid the international postage by the end of this period, we may dispose of your parcel. We’ll send you two payment reminders before this happens.
Time zone differences and notifications
Due to the time zone difference the warehouse does not operate Sunday or Monday New Zealand time (the USA/UK weekend).
Because of this, if your item is received at the USA or UK warehouse late Friday or Saturday (New Zealand time) you may not receive notification of its arrival until Tuesday afternoon (New Zealand time).
We’ll let you know when your parcel has been processed by us in NZ. It will then be handed to New Zealand Customs.
Once Customs releases your parcels to CourierPost, we aim to get them delivered to you within 1-3 working days (delivery to rural addresses may take longer).
Note: Oversized Sea Freight parcels will be released by Customs to the Auckland International Freight Centre.
Track your parcel
Once your parcel has left our warehouse, you can track it using our online tracking tool
Alternative delivery options
Delivery details for a parcel can be changed up until 6pm on the day that your parcel clears New Zealand Customs. At this point you will receive an email with a link to redirect your parcel to an alternative location of your choosing.
Parcel Redirect is not available for oversize parcels.
Instead of sending a parcel to your work or home address, you can now opt to send it to a nearby parcel collection point in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch for collection.
It’s easy - all you need to do is select a Parcel Collect point as your New Zealand delivery address.
To use this service, simply:
- Sign into your YouShop account and select the ‘At the warehouse’ tab
- Click on the parcel you want delivered to a Parcel Collect point
- Click ‘Update Delivery Details’ and select ‘Edit Delivery Details’
- Select a location for pick up
- Type in street address, city or location
- Select your preferred Parcel Collect point as your New Zealand delivery address
- Click ‘Save Delivery Option’.
An email will be sent to you when your parcel is ready to be collected from your chosen location. Parcels are held at your chosen Parcel Collect location for up to 10 days.
Oversize parcels will be shipped via Sea Freight to the Auckland International Freight Centre. You can choose to collect or we can arrange an additional quote for onward shipping to your home. Find out more
