David Walsh BCA, CA
Chief Executive Officer, NZ Post Group
David Walsh became Chief Executive in May 2017.
He joined the Group in February 2015 as Chief Financial Officer having previously held the position of General Manager Corporate and Finance at KiwiRail after his role as Chief Financial Officer was widened.
David has experience in a wide range of industries experiencing change, with complex infrastructure, consumer products and services and leading large change projects.
His professional background also includes Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer at New Zealand Racing Board, and senior finance roles at Fonterra and TransAlta.
Chief People Officer
Monica joined NZ Post at the end of 2020 and leads the People team, covering employment relations, remuneration, talent, organisational development, and safety and wellbeing.
Monica has held senior HR leadership positions in a range of organisations, most recently in the insurance and local government sectors. Prior to NZ Post, she was GM People & Culture at Panuku Development Auckland.
Sohail Choudhry, BA, BE, ME, Phd.
Chief International Business Officer and Chief Data and Technology Officer
Sohail has been with NZ Post since 2007 and during that time has been instrumental in helping transform the business through the introduction of digital communication solutions and developing the business lines of supply chain and eCommerce to take advantage of the growing B2C market. Sohail is responsible for NZ Post’s critical International multi-lateral and bi-lateral partnerships and multi-channel solutions.
Previously, Sohail was CEO of a cutting-edge technology company based in New Zealand and successfully expanded the business into the US, Europe and Asian markets. His prior roles included work in the electricity and water sectors, IT&T, and setting up new ventures in the technology space. Sohail has brought a strong customer and commercial view to the enterprises in which he has worked, particularly building domestic and international strategic customer relationships and industry networks.
Chief Customer Officer
Bryan joined NZ Post in February 2017 and brings a wealth of experience in strategic marketing roles in the energy and financial services industries.
Immediately prior to joining NZ Post Bryan worked for MercuryNZ where he held senior sales and marketing, digital transformation and general management roles. Bryan has a first class honours degree in marketing.
Chief Operations Officer
Brendon joined NZ Post in December 2017, bringing with him over 15 years of experience leading operations, strategy and business development and customer service across transport and logistics organisations including Auckland Transport and Air New Zealand.
Prior to being appointed as Chief Operations Officer in October 2020, Brendon held the position of General Manager Customer Service Delivery Northern at NZ Post.
Rhonda Richardson, BCA, CA
Chief Financial Officer
Rhonda joined NZ post as Chief Financial Officer in November 2020.
Rhonda brings significant financial and commercial experience to NZ Post, together with extensive experience in leading operational and customer functions. Immediately prior to joining NZ Post Rhonda held several senior leadership positions at Chorus NZ Limited. Previous experience includes a variety of management roles at Spark and The Treasury.
Janet Selwood, BA, MBA
Chief Transformation Officer
Janet joined the NZ Post Group in May 2013 as Strategic Advisor to the Chief Executive, having previously held a variety of roles in Telecom. She was appointed to her current role in December 2017.
Janet has worked in private, SOE and government sectors, predominantly in the areas of Strategic Planning, Business Performance Management, Business/Investment Analysis, Finance and Leadership.
Malcolm Shaw, LLB (Hons)
Chief Governance & Sustainability Officer
Since joining NZ Post in 2000, Malcolm has held the role of General Counsel, and has provided leadership across a range of corporate areas developing extensive experience in general management and leadership.
Prior to joining NZ Post, he had a broad background both as in-house counsel in Contact Energy and the New Zealand Dairy Board, and as a corporate and commercial lawyer in firms in New Zealand and overseas.
Malcolm continues to be a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
