Let's work together to deliver a successful peak season

As your delivery partner, we’re here to help you succeed during the busiest shopping period.

By working together and planning ahead, we can keep parcels moving smoothly and your customers happy.

This checklist will help us deliver for your customers this busy season.

1. Share your operational plans with us early

The earlier we understand your delivery needs, the better we can support you. Retail moves fast, so keep your Business Manager updated, especially if things change.

Not sure what information is relevant to share? Consider things like:

  • Are you expecting inbound supply chain delays that could affect stock levels and promotions?
  • Planning to send more Dangerous Goods than usual?
  • Will you need extra parcel collections?
  • Will you need to order more consumables (labels, tickets, packaging) than usual?
  • What are your volume forecasts, and are there changes to operating hours, output capacity, or contingency plans?
  • Will there be changes to physical handover processes e.g., scanning, sortation, labelling, collection times?

2. Running promotions?

Share your promotional calendar and expected sales lift with your Business Manager. This helps us to plan your pickups and resources to match your needs. Provide volume forecasts for November and December to help us plan ahead.

3. Planning to send large volumes of parcels internationally?

Let us know your projected international volumes so we can secure airline capacity and ensure a smooth process.

Please note, events overseas can delay the delivery of items, so make sure you stay up to date with our latest international delivery updates.

4. Prioritise Forward Freight Parcels

If you have multiple pickups, hand over parcels destined outside your local area earlier in the day to help us move them faster.

5. Talk to us about weekend pickups

If you’re operating on weekends, talk to your Business Manager about options for weekend pickups during peak, so you can get your parcels moving faster.

6. Enable parcel notifications for your customers

Parcel Notifications are a simple way to enhance your customers’ delivery experience while reducing your own support workload and cost. By sending timely updates at key points in the parcel journey, you give your customers peace of mind and more control over their deliveries.

Your customers can track their parcels, request the courier to leave the parcel in a safe place, redirect deliveries, and receive a photo proof of delivery if using our photo on delivery service.

If you haven’t enrolled in Parcel Notifications yet, talk to your Business Manager to get started, it’s a simple setup that'll deliver trust and satisfaction for your business.

Encourage your customers to download our mobile app for push notifications and keep them updated of their parcel’s journey on the go.

7. Get addressing correct

Ensure your addressing data meets our addressing guidelines and data injection standards to avoid delays or misdirected parcels.

If you have an integrated solution with us, ask your Business Manager about our ParcelAddress API for easy address auto-complete and validation at checkout.

Follow our sending standards guidelines, which cover packaging, size & weight limitations, dangerous goods, prohibited & restricted items, accurate addressing and labelling.
