International Courier

A cost effective courier service to send parcels to 53 key countries worldwide.

International Courier is a service for parcels up to 30kg. It has a 2 - 6 working day delivery target and costs less than our prestige service, International Express Courier.

You have the peace of mind of knowing your mail is tracked until it reaches its destination and a signature is collected on delivery.

New Zealand Post Account holders can also use our GoGlobal boxes to send by International Courier. GoGlobal boxes are GST zero rated and charged at International Courier rates.

Our International Courier service delivers to PO Boxes in selected countries and rural addresses for no additional cost.

Sending mail by International Courier

You’ll need the following to send with International Courier:

  • A completed orange consignment note (IEC001) or white consignment note (CN300 - only available for use in store) with the address written in English
  • A copy of the commercial invoice or an Export Invoice (NCPI025) (PDF - 49KB), if the items being sent are part of a commercial transaction
  • A completed Export Entry (for items valued over NZ$1,000). We can complete this on your behalf for an additional cost.

Lodge your mail at your local PostShop and pay the required postage. Free pick up from commercial premises may be available for New Zealand Post Account customers. Contact your account manager to enquire.

PO Box delivery

Delivery to a PO Box is available within the following countries: Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Cook Islands, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Macau, Netherlands, Poland, Samoa, Spain, Switzerland, Singapore, Slovenia, Taiwan, Thailand, Uruguay, USA, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

Terms and conditions

The standard terms and conditions of the products and services offered by New Zealand Post Limited, including information on the extent of our liability, are set out in the Public Contract and the Postal Users' Guide. They are also available for reference at PostShop stores and selected New Zealand Post retail outlets.

Delivery Targets

For the purposes of delivery targets, the day in which the item is accepted by us is day zero. If you post an item, or hand it over the counter in a New Zealand Post retail outlet after that day’s final clearance, or on Saturday or Sunday, day zero will be the next working day.

You can expect that items will usually arrive at their destination within the delivery target specified. Because New Zealand Post does not directly control all parts of the delivery chain, we cannot guarantee that your item will always reach its destination within the delivery target. Delivery to areas outside major cities, or where your item is dutiable or held in Customs, may take longer. Required postage

The required postage is the value of postage required for New Zealand Post to carry the item. Actual price paid may vary instore. The required postage and specifications are subject to change.

Cover for loss or damage, prohibited & restricted items

Before sending mail items, make sure your item is safe to send and will be covered if it goes missing or is damaged. Make sure you read about cover for loss or damage and prohibited & restricted items.

International Courier is a trade mark of New Zealand Post Limited.

Subject to our terms and conditions, item contents valued at:

  • up to NZ$2,000 may be sent by businesses with a New Zealand Post Account. If, over NZ$2,000 but less than NZ$5,000, it may only be sent if Additional Compensation Cover is purchased
  • up to NZ$2,000 may be sent by businesses without a New Zealand Post Account (or with one but not using a business consignment note).

In line with the above, and subject to our terms and conditions, a compensation limit for loss or damage of up to NZ$2,000 is available for items sent by International Courier. For New Zealand Post Account customers, who have purchased Additional Compensation Cover, the cover limit available is up to NZ$5,000.
