Sending mail by International Air Registered
You’ll need the following to send with International Air Registered:
- Letters must contain paper based written or printed documents only.
- Your mail must be in an International Air Registered Postage Included Bag. If the document is part of a commercial transaction, it must contain either a copy of the commercial invoice or an Export Invoice (NCPI025) (PDF - 49KB).
- Place in the International Air ‘Par Avion’ slot of a NZPost street posting box or PostShop letter slot.

There are a few other things you need to know about this service:
- We cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to confirm that a signature has been received on delivery, because we do not directly control all parts of the delivery chain.
- Tracking is not offered with this service.

Delivery Targets
For the purposes of delivery targets, the day in which the item is accepted by us is day zero. If you post an item, or hand it over the counter in a New Zealand Post retail outlet after that day’s final clearance, or on Saturday or Sunday, day zero will be the next working day.
You can expect that items will usually arrive at their destination within the delivery target specified. Because New Zealand Post does not directly control all parts of the delivery chain, we cannot guarantee that your item will always reach its destination within the delivery target. Delivery to areas outside major cities, or where your item is dutiable or held in Customs, may take longer.
