The required postage to send by Priority Business Mail is based on the size and weight of your letter or document

Sending mail by Priority Business Mail

To send your letter, document or postcard by Priority Business Mail, use:

  • a blue Priority Business Mail service indicator attached to the front, top left-hand corner of the envelope for permit posted; and
  • a valid New Zealand delivery address.

Blue Priority service indicators will be available at the end of January. Please overprint the online version (JPG - 80KB) onto your envelopes. Note: you must leave 5-10mm between the Priority service indicator and the top and left-hand edges of the mail piece.

Priority Business Mail can only be lodged at the locations detailed below:

Priority Business Mail items must be received prior to the following lodgement cut-off times:

  • Auckland 3.00pm
  • Wellington 3.00pm
  • Christchurch 3.00pm

Priority Business Mail cannot be lodged at PostShops, PostCentres, Box lobbies or Street Receivers.

Priority Business Mail items may be lodged with your courier if you have a mail pick up service that meets the lodgement cut off time for the lodgement location.
